This is Ellen and Carl on the steps of Immanuel Covenant Church, at Foster and Washtenaw, across the street from Budlong School. It must be approximately 1954. We started going to Luther Memorial in 1955, when Carl was in kindergarten.
Aren't those cool pyjamas Carl's wearing. Oh wait, that's what Ruth thought would make a good little boy suit.
